About Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation

The USC Shoah Foundation Institute for Visual History and Education, with an archive of nearly 52,000 videotaped testimonies from Holocaust survivors and other witnesses, is part of the College of Letters, Arts & Sciences at the University of Southern California. The USC Shoah Foundation Institute works with a global network of partners to provide an array of valuable educational services that reach educators, students, and the general public around the world.

About Auschwitz Jewish Center Foundation

The Auschwitz Jewish Center Foundation was established in 1995 in order to rebuild a Jewish cultural, spiritual, and educational center in Oswiecim. In September 2000, the Auschwitz Jewish Center opened its doors to visitors from all over the world. It is a non-governmental organization which exists to serve as a guardian of Jewish memory, as well as to educate the public about the Holocaust.

Since August of 2006, the Center has been affiliated with the Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust in New York, USA. The Auschwitz Jewish Center consists of The Jewish Museum, The Chevra Lomdei Mishnayot Synagogue and The Educational Center.

About American Society for Yad Vashem

Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Martyrs’ and Heroes’ Remembrance Authority, was established in 1953 by an act of the Israeli Knesset. Since its inception, Yad Vashem has been entrusted with documenting the history of the Jewish people during the Holocaust period, preserving the memory and story of each of the six million victims, and imparting the legacy of the Holocaust for generations to come through its archives, library, school, museums and recognition of the Righteous Among the Nations.

Located on Har Hazikaron, the Mount of Remembrance, in Jerusalem, Yad Vashem is a vast, sprawling complex of tree-studded walkways leading to museums, exhibits, archives, monuments, sculptures, and memorials.

Most people have never heard of the 20,000-30,000 Jews who fought back against the Nazis as Jewish partisans. These Jews were responsible for thwarting the Nazi war machine in countless ways. About Simon Wiesenthal Center

The Simon Weisenthal Center

The Simon Wiesenthal Center, an international human rights organization, confronts anti-Semitism and hate, promotes human dignity, defends democracy and freedom, and teaches the lessons of the Holocaust to future generations worldwide. The Center speaks out against international terrorism and defends the safety of Jews everywhere. Established in 1977, the Center has become one of the largest institutions of its kind in the world.

Locally, the Center runs the Museum of Tolerance (or MOT), its educational arm, established in 1993. The MOT challenges visitors to confront bigotry and racism, and to understand the Holocaust in both historic and contemporary contexts. The Museum has served over 4 million visitors with 350,000 visiting annually, including 130,000 students.

Simon Wiesenthal, a survivor of the Nazi death camps, dedicated his life to documenting the crimes of the Holocaust and to hunting down the perpetrators still at large; and contributed to the capture of Adolf Eichmann in Argentina in 1961.
