About Ezer Mizion

Ezer Mizion, the Israel Health Support Organization, is one of the largest non-profits in Israel, benefitting over 650,000 people a year. Founded in 1979, its mission is to provide paramedical and social services for Israels sick, elderly and disabled and underserved populations.

Ezer Mizion grew out of Chayanna Chollacks experience interacting with chronically ill patients while taking care of his ailing father-in-law; he realized that for those people in crisis, an environment of warmth, comfort and friendship was essential. Today Ezer Mizion offers extensive programming, including a medical referral and services program, food distribution and hospital volunteer programs, ambulance and transport programs, and the Ezer Mizion Bone Marrow Donor Registry, today the largest Jewish bone marrow registry in the world.

About Israel Cancer Research Fund

The Israel Cancer Research Fund/ICRF is a voluntary charitable organization that receives its total income from private donations. ICRF was founded in 1975 by a group of American and Canadian researchers, oncologists, and lay people determined to harness Israel’s educational and scientific resources in the fight against cancer. Its initial purpose was to stem the brain drain of Israeli researchers by providing funds for postdoctoral fellowships for young Ph.D.s. ICRF is the only U.S.-based charity solely devoted to supporting cancer research in Israel.

About National Marrow Donor Program

The National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) and our Be The Match Foundation are organizations dedicated to creating an opportunity for all patients to receive the bone marrow or umbilical cord blood transplant they need, when they need it.

Every year, thousands of people of all ages are diagnosed with leukemia and other life-threatening diseases. Many of them will die unless they get a bone marrow or cord blood transplant from a matching donor. Seventy percent of people do not have a donor in their family and depend on our Be The Match Registry to find a match to save their life.

About Israel Childrens Cancer Foundation

The Israel Childrens Cancer Foundation (ICCF) has raised more than five million dollars since its founding ten years ago. Thousands of children afflicted with the dreaded decease of cancer in israel have been helped with improved patient care funded by ICCF. This progress in combating cancer is made possible through grants recommended by ICCFs Medical Advisory Council. The recepients of these grants are major hospitals and medical centers in israel that care for 96.7% of all children with cancer.
