About Meir Panim
Meir Panim’s soup kitchens meet the needs of those living in extreme poverty in Israel daily; they are fed nutritious meals in a welcoming, dignified environment. In addition to its soup kitchens, Meir Panim supports several long-term programs designed to help Israelis proactively break out of poverty and become self sufficient, including vocational centers, meals for schoolchildren, after-school youth clubs, and employment training centers for the disabled.
After the untimely passing of his son, Israeli newspaper executive David Zilberschlag founded Meir Panim, supporting his late son’s vision of helping needy people without compromising their dignity.
