About Junior Achievement of Southern CA
Junior Achievement of Southern CA is the largest organization dedicated to educating students about work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs. Founded in 1919, Junior Achievement programs help prepare young people for the real world by showing them how to generate wealth and effectively manage it, how to create jobs which make their communities more robust, and how to apply entrepreneurial thinking to the workplace. Students put these lessons into action, and help strengthen their communities. They believe in using hands-on experiences to help our kids understand the economics of life.
In partnership with business and educators, Junior Achievement brings the real world to students, opening their minds to their potential. It is the world’s largest and fastest-growing organization dedicated to educating young people about business, economics, and free enterprise. Through age-appropriate curricula, Junior Achievement programs begin at the elementary school level, teaching children how they can impact the world around them as individuals, workers, and consumers. The programs continue through the middle and high school grades, preparing students for additional key economic and workforce issues they will face in the future. Junior Achievement reaches more than 9 million students in 108 countries worldwide.
